Terms of use

These terms apply when you use www.divyapanchangam.com, its Hindi edition, our emails and our WhatsApp service (together, “the service”). The service is operated by Kael Tripton Ltd (“we”, “us”), registered in England and Wales (company number 17177071), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.

By using the service you agree to these terms. Purchases and bookings are also covered by our Terms of sale. If you list as a pandit, temple, seller or vendor, our Marketplace terms also apply.

The service

We publish a computed Hindu calendar (panchang, muhurat, festival and vrat dates, eclipses, planetary positions), astrology tools, articles and news. We also run a marketplace where you can find and book pandits, temples and sellers.

• Computed values come from the Swiss Ephemeris with the Lahiri ayanamsha.
• Traditions and local practice differ. Read our Disclaimer before relying on a date or time for an important event.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the service, and we don’t promise it will always be available or error-free.

Accounts

• You must be 13 or older to create an account, and 18 or older to buy, book or list anything.
• Keep your sign-in method (email, phone or Google account) secure. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
• Give accurate information. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, are used for fraud or abuse, or put other people at risk.
• You can delete your account at any time by contacting hello@divyapanchangam.com. Records we must keep by law (such as invoices) are retained as our Privacy policy explains.

Acceptable use

Don’t:

• break the law, or infringe anyone’s rights;
• post content that is false, defamatory, hateful, harassing or discriminatory, including on grounds of caste, religion, gender or origin;
• impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your qualifications as a pandit or seller;
• scrape, copy or bulk-download the site or its data, or use it to train AI models, without our written permission. Personal, non-commercial use of individual pages is fine.
• interfere with the service’s security or performance, or get round access controls;
• use the service to send spam, or to contact pandits, temples or sellers for purposes other than genuine enquiries.

Reviews and ratings must follow our Community guidelines.

Content and intellectual property

The site’s text, design, computed tables, code and the Divya Panchangam name and logo belong to us or our licensors. You may:

• read, print and share links to pages for personal, non-commercial use;
• quote short extracts with a link back and attribution.

Some content is used under open licences, which are credited where it appears (for example OpenStreetMap, GeoNames and Wikidata). Scripture and mantra texts in the original languages are in the public domain; our translations, explanations and layout are not.

If you post content (a rating, a listing, a message), you keep ownership of it. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt (for layout and translation) and distribute it for running and promoting the service. You confirm you have the right to post it.

If you believe something on the site infringes your rights, write to hello@divyapanchangam.com with details and we will act promptly.

Third-party links and services

We link to news sources, temple websites and other sites, and we use third-party services such as payment providers and video platforms. We aren’t responsible for their content or practices, and their own terms apply.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited. That includes death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, and your statutory rights as a consumer.

Otherwise:

• the free parts of the service are provided “as is”;
• we aren’t liable for losses that weren’t reasonably foreseeable, or for business losses;
• our total liability to you for the free service is limited to £100.

Liability for purchases is covered in the Terms of sale.

Changes

We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here with a new date. For significant changes we’ll give you notice by email or on the site. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, the EU or India, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
