Terms of sale
Last updated:
These terms apply when you buy or book anything on Divya Panchangam. They add to our Terms of use. A plain-language summary of cancellations and refunds is on the Refunds page. As a consumer you also have statutory rights that these terms don’t affect. In the UK these include the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Who you are buying from
- Our own products (listings sold by “Divya Panchangam”: our digital products, courses, online pujas in the Puja Room and memberships) are supplied by Kael Tripton Ltd, 71-75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom, company number 17177071.
- Where these are paid through Dodo Payments, Dodo acts as the merchant of record: it sells the product to you as reseller, charges and remits the sales tax, VAT or GST, and issues the invoice. We remain responsible for delivering the product or service.
- Marketplace listings (a named pandit, temple, merchant or vendor) are supplied by that seller. Your contract for the goods or service is with them. We act as their commercial agent to take your payment (through Stripe), hold it as described below, and pass it on.
- We check sellers before their listings go live and we handle complaints, but the seller is responsible for what they supply.
The listing and the checkout always show who the seller is.
Placing an order
- Prices are shown in your currency where we support it (GBP, USD, EUR, CAD, AUD, AED, SGD, INR). Where we show VAT or GST, it is included in the price. US sales tax is calculated at checkout.
- Delivery charges for physical goods are shown before you pay.
- Your order is accepted when you receive our confirmation email. Until then we may decline it, for example if an item is out of stock or a price was clearly wrong.
- Payment is taken at checkout by Stripe or Dodo Payments.
- Indian cards may not be accepted for recurring payments. Where that applies, INR memberships aren’t offered.
Digital products and courses
- Access is by download link or in your account (Downloads, Courses). Download links work a limited number of times.
- Cancellation: you can cancel within 14 days of buying for a full refund, unless you have started downloading, streaming or accessing a lesson. At checkout we ask you to agree that digital content starts immediately and that you lose the right to cancel once it has.
- If digital content is faulty, you are entitled to a repair, a replacement or a refund.
Physical goods
- We or the seller ship to the address you give, by the courier shown. You’ll get tracking where the courier provides it. For puja kits linked to a booking, we check at checkout that the kit can arrive before the puja date, and won’t take the order if it can’t.
- Cancellation (14 days): you can cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.
- Tell us at hello@divyapanchangam.com or through your account.
- Send the goods back within 14 days of cancelling. You pay the return postage unless the goods are faulty or not as described.
- We refund the price and the standard outbound delivery within 14 days of getting the goods back, or of you showing us proof of return if that is sooner.
- We may reduce the refund if the goods were handled more than needed to inspect them.
- Exceptions: the 14-day right doesn’t apply to:
- goods made or personalised for you, for example engraved items, or yantras, murtis or kits energised or consecrated with your name and sankalp;
- goods that perish quickly, such as prasad, fresh flowers and foods;
- sealed goods that aren’t suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed.
- Faulty goods: tell us within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. After that you’re still entitled to a repair or replacement, or a refund if these don’t work, as the law provides.
Online pujas (Puja Room)
- You choose the puja, language, tradition and time. We assign a pandit from our pool, and send you a joining link, a ticket and reminders. The pandit performs the puja with your sankalp details. You may join by video, and a recording is available in your account for 30 days.
- Because a puja is booked for a specific date and time, the 14-day cancellation right for services doesn’t apply. Instead we offer the following:
- 24 hours or more before the start: cancel for a full refund, or move it to another time for free.
- Less than 24 hours before: no refund. You can reschedule once, free, up to 2 hours before the start.
- If you don’t join: the pandit still performs the puja with your sankalp at the booked time, and the recording is provided. There is no refund.
- If the pandit doesn’t start within 15 minutes, or the session fails because of us: you choose a full refund or a free new booking.
At-home pujas and pandit bookings
- You send a request at least 12 hours ahead. The pandit accepts or declines. You pay only after they accept.
- We hold your payment and release it to the pandit 72 hours after the puja is marked performed, unless you raise a problem before then.
- Cancellation by you:
- more than 48 hours before: full refund;
- 12 to 48 hours before: 50% refund (the pandit keeps 50% for the blocked time);
- less than 12 hours before, or if the pandit can’t get access at the booked address and time: no refund.
- If the pandit cancels, or doesn’t come: full refund. We’ll try to find you another pandit.
- Problems: tell us within 72 hours of the puja through your booking page or hello@divyapanchangam.com. We hold the payment while we look into it with both sides.
- Samagri, dakshina given in person, travel beyond the listed area and anything else not in the listing are agreed between you and the pandit.
Temple services and vendor add-ons
- Darshan slots, sponsored pujas and other temple services follow the cancellation terms shown on the listing. If none are shown: full refund if you cancel 24 hours or more before the slot, no refund after that.
- Add-on vendors (photographers, decorators, caterers, transport and similar) follow the at-home booking terms above unless the listing says otherwise.
- A temple or vendor that cancels refunds you in full.
Memberships
- Pro memberships renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. Cancel any time in your account; it ends at the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- In the UK and EU you can cancel within 14 days of first buying for a refund, less a proportionate amount for the time you used.
Refunds
Refunds go back to the original payment method, normally within 5–10 working days of approval. Your bank may take longer to show them. Currency conversion by your card provider is outside our control.
Our liability
- We’re responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We’re not responsible for losses that weren’t foreseeable, or for business losses.
- Our liability for any one order or booking is limited to its price, except where the law doesn’t allow a limit.
- Pujas are religious services performed in good faith: we and the pandit can’t promise any spiritual, health, financial or other outcome (see our Disclaimer).
Complaints and disputes
Contact hello@divyapanchangam.com or use your order or booking page. We aim to reply within 2 working days. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you’re a consumer elsewhere, you keep the mandatory protections of your local law and can use your local courts or consumer bodies. In India these include the consumer commissions under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
